2022 JUBILARIANS
Sister Barbara Wincik, HM
50th Jubilee
As Sister Barbara Wincik celebrates 50 years of religious life, she is thankful for the gift of life, community, friends and family. She entered the HM Community from St. Andrew Parish, Sheffield, Ohio, and served in healthcare ministry as a nurse in several hospitals across Ohio before earning a master’s degree in adult psychiatry and mental health.
Her work took her to Cincinnati, Ohio, where she served at Central Clinic and in private practice at the Archdiocesan Consultation Services. Sister Barbara also served as nursing adjunct faculty at Xavier University. After graduating with a PhD in nursing research from Barry University, Miami, Shores, Fla., she was assigned to connect with rural hospitals in western Ohio through a program at Xavier.
In 2013 she was elected to the HM Leadership Team and was re-elected in 2017, completing her service in 2021.
Sister Barbara is currently working in collaboration with the Villa CEO/CFO, the Villa Farm Manager and Community Partnership, Inc, (New Castle, Pa.) on the future of the Villa Farm.
