50th Jubilee

Sister Mary Geralyn Mroczkowski, CSSF, is celebrating her 50th jubilee with the Felician Sisters. She holds a bachelor’s degree from DePaul University in Chicago and a master’s degree from the College of St. Thomas in St. Paul.

An elementary school teacher and principal, she taught at several schools around Chicago and in St. Paul, Minn. Her longest assignment was as principal at Our Lady of Ransom in Niles, Ill., from 1987 to 2004.

Since 2005, Sister has served as a provincial councilor, first in Chicago and since the 2009 merger, at the Felician continental headquarters in Beaver Falls, Pa.

“I have seen God’s will for me through local convent living, by saying yes to ministry assignments (whenever/wherever) and being available to serve the people God has placed in my life at a particular time,” Sister Mary Geralyn says. “Looking back at the past 50 years, it’s clear that I am loved by God and my Felician community, and that both have been with me every step of the way – and that is truly an awesome celebration of love.”
