SISTER ALICE HALTERLEIN, OSF
70th Jubilee
In my 70 years as a Franciscan Sister, prayer has always been integral to my way of life, touching the sacred reality of ministry to God’s people. On the lighter side of these years, as I continue to enjoy community, family and friends, I appreciate God’s continued gifts and blessings each day.
In these 70 years, many opportunities allowed me to minister in various ways: as a teacher for 20 years; as a social minister at a large active parish; and as a medical social worker in the UPMC Home Health Care Division, meeting the needs of discharged patients. My retirement allows me now the opportunity to continue creating a Franciscan presence with whom I interact.
