Sister M. Denise Bernas, CSSF
50th Jubilee
Felician Sister Mary Denise Bernas is celebrating her 50th jubilee. She is currently the sub manager and activities coordinator for Leo Meyer Manor in McKees Rocks, a speaker for the Felician Sisters’ care centers and certified in sign chi do, the art of moving prayer.
Prior ministries include 16 years as the activity coordinator and physical therapy assistant at St. Anne Home in Greensburg and 12 years as the activity director and volunteer coordinator at the Life Enrichment Center in Port Charlotte, Fla.
She cites her work with the elderly as her most rewarding ministry. “They are full of wisdom, age and grace,” she says “I am most grateful to be able to follow our beloved Foundress Blessed Mary Angela Truszkowska, imitating her boundless love of God and surrendering to his will through compassionate service, total availability and concern for the salvation of all people. Deo Gratias.”
Sister Josephine Marie Kaczor, CSSF
25th Jubilee
Felician Sister Josephine Maria Kaczor is celebrating her 25th jubilee. She was born in Rzeszow, Poland, and entered the Felician Sisters as a postulant on October 16, 1996.
During her time in Pittsburgh, Pa., she ministered as a personal care assistant at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Convent in Coraopolis and assistant manager of Leo Meyer Manor in McKees Rocks. From 2005 to 2009, she served as the assistant to the local minister at the generalate in Rome, Italy.
She currently ministers as a seamstress and performs other house duties at Blessed Mary Angela Convent in Buffalo, N.Y.
