Suggested nonperishable food donations include: canned vegetables, soup, beans, tuna, etc; pasta (mac & cheese, hamburger helper), rice, baby food, formula, cereal, peanut butter, jelly/jam or sauces.

Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth

The Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth are participating in the collaborative food drive by collecting donations from the sisters’ convents only, to avoid competing with food drives sponsored by the various ministries where the sisters serve.

Proceeds from this internal food drive will be donated to Focus Pittsburgh in the Hills District.

Caring for All Creation

Sister Lyn Szymkiewicz, director of Grounds and Eco Projects for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Baden, maintains several beehives on the Motherhouse grounds which provide honey for the Sisters dining room, local food banks and the gift shop. The Congregation is dedicated to caring for the environment and for all creation which lives and moves and has its being in God.
