Over 70 Sisters from 12 congregations in Western PA were first-time marchers in the Pittsburgh St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 13, 2010. The Sisters marched in the parade part of their many outreach efforts to connect with and serve people of the community. The Sisters were greeted warmly by the crowd and a good time was had by all.

Caring for All Creation

Sister Lyn Szymkiewicz, director of Grounds and Eco Projects for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Baden, maintains several beehives on the Motherhouse grounds which provide honey for the Sisters dining room, local food banks and the gift shop. The Congregation is dedicated to caring for the environment and for all creation which lives and moves and has its being in God.
